yak TRAIL
17 km / 800m m+
"WATERFALLY, LAKES and RIVERS"
The most emblematic animal of the Himalayas will accompany the trail runners on a discovery route that will nevertheless include most of the characteristics of a true trail course, whose record is held by a certain Xavier Thévenard, a four-time winner of the UTMB® races.

After starting in the center of the village, participants will follow the Dar, a river descending from the Glacier des Diablerets, known for its magnificent waterfall. After crossing the Col du Pillon, the Yak route will lead to the refreshment point at Lac Retaud, dominated by the famous Palette... which will be spared for participants of this course.
You will then reach the former arrival station of the mythical Isenau gondola and then Métreille via a beautiful path along the southern balcony of the Vallée des Ormonts. From there, you just need to 'let loose' in a direct descent to Les Diablerets

This route will allow both short-distance specialists and beginners to discover the Ormonts Valley and some of its most beautiful treasures.
CHALLENGE 2D
For only CHF 15.- extra, you can also take part in the 2-day challenge offered as part of our 10th anniversary. The idea is as follows: you register for a race in Les Diablerets on Saturday (TAKIN, RHINO, or YAK) and then choose the 'CHALLENGE 2D,' which will allow you to participate the next day in Gstaad, either on the 14km course or the more demanding 27km course. The final choice can be made when picking up the bibs for the Sunday race. A special ranking based on the total mileage covered and a coefficient will be established at the end of the 2 days.
