The humanitarian goal : Your registration = a donation
The idea is simple: The majority of the registration income (about 80%) for the races in Diablerets is donated to various programs for underprivileged children in Nepal.
THE SOLIDARITY OF THE MOUNTAINS !
Why this country? We did not wait for the terrible earthquake of April 25, 2015, to choose Nepal. Indeed, this tragic event simply reminded us that Nepal is one of the poorest countries on the planet: more than 2/3 of Nepalese people earn less than CHF 1.80 per day! Moreover, the Himalayan peaks still make adventurers dream; unfortunately, mountain tourism does too little to support the local population despite the thousands of dollars needed to climb the highest peak on the planet.
Furthermore, trail running is undoubtedly the discipline where Nepalese athletes are closest to the world elite: The historical patron of the Humani'Trail, Dawa Dachhiri Sherpa, is not only the first winner of the Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc® but remains, at over 50 years old, one of the icons of this sport. Mira Rai, for her part, has an incredible journey that began as a child soldier during the Civil War that shook Nepal between 1996 and 2006, to become one of the best trail specialists 10 years later. Her compatriot Sunmaya Budha is one of the rising stars, with several victories in UTMB® races. We must not forget OUR FAVORITE, who alone sums up why we love this sport so much: Sangé Sherpa. Triple winner of the Humani'Trail, but also twice winner of the Montreux Trail Festival and the Trail de la Vallée de Joux, he soon knows the Vaud trails better than the locals and is never the last to party with his friends from Besançon, demonstrating how sharing is the very essence of trail running.

Some examples of supported projects
The goal of the Humani'Trail is not to replace NGOs. We are primarily the organizers of a race that aims to be popular. Each year, we evaluate a number of associations active in Nepal whose projects touch us. We also regularly travel to Nepal to verify the use of the funds raised. Most experiences have been very positive, but we have also had to note some abuses. Over the years and through encounters, we have become increasingly confident in the supported projects, with the experience gained allowing us to avoid certain 'traps.'
Since 2013, the following associations have benefited from the support of the Humani'Trail, representing more than 200,000 Swiss francs: ASAEN, Ganesha Suisse, Kanchenjunga, Montagne et Partage, Parrains et Marraines du Népal, Tsumo Maya Garchu, Butterfly Help Project, Creating Possibilities, Annapurna, Mitrataa Foundation, Sunrise Nimal Child Care, What's Life Project, Action Education, or Nepalko Sathi.
Since 2019, we have had the pleasure of counting on the support of the Kiwanis of Bex-Salin, a huge thank you to its members
